Homemade Pita Bread
This homemade pita bread is soft, fluffy and delicious. It's so much better than store-bought!

INGREDIENTS
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the olive oil and warm water. Stir until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten it into a disc. Place the discs on a lightly floured surface and cover them with a damp cloth.
- Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C). Place the discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
